The National Liaison is critical to the implementation of the core goals of the MMIWG Secretariat of the MMIWG Secretariat and creation of an Inuit Women’s support and awareness network that will strengthen partnerships and build the capacity of the Inuit women sector.
The Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) Secretariat Coordinator works in close collaboration with colleagues applying an Inuit-specific GBA+ lens in carrying out all initiatives related to implementation of the secretariate in accordance with the community and funding conditions in contribution agreements on behalf of Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada (PIWC).
This Request for Proposals (RFP) is to hire a consultant with subject matter expertise who will work closely with Pauktuutit to plan, coordinate, and manage various aspects of the two-day National Inuit Midwifery Forum. Knowledge of Indigenous midwifery services and health systems in Canada’s North are vital, in addition to a strong understanding of Inuit culture.
