Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada will be holding its Annual General Meeting in Ottawa, Ontario, from March 5-7, 2013. The Board of Directors will be reporting on activities conducted during the 2011/12 fiscal year. The meeting is open to the public, and will be held at the Southway Hotel and Conference Centre.
In addition to regular business, elections will be held for the position of Regional Directors for the Nunatsiavut, South Baffin and Kivalliq regions, as well as one youth representative.
Any Inuk woman can nominate or be nominated for a position on the Pauktuutit Board of Directors. Nomination forms are available from local hamlet offices, on the Pauktuutit website at www.pauktuutit.ca, or by calling 1-800-667-0749. The deadline for nominations to be received at the Pauktuutit office is 5:00 PM (EST) Friday, March 1, 2013.
