On January 15 – 16, 2020, Pauktuutit held a two-day engagement session in Ottawa. The approximately 50 participants included Pauktuutit Board members, who represent and have their roots in communities across Inuit Nunangat.

Today, Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada called on Prime Minister Trudeau to immediately implement at least one of the 46 Inuit-specific recommendations contained in last year’s Final Report of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) – namely, funding for five new Inuit shelters in Inuit Nunangat and in Ottawa.

This is an open call to individuals, firms, or organizations to provide a comprehensive proposal to create a plan for gathering data in Inuit communities that bears in mind the current context and challenges posed by social distancing and restricted travel. The successful applicant will complete the second portion of Phase 1 research in partnership with Pauktuutit.
This is an open call to individuals, firms, or organizations to provide a comprehensive proposal for co-development with youth, the National Inuit Youth Council, and Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada employees and Advisory committee the content, design, layout, project branding, and products related to this project.
This project will enhance operations and resources of the IWBN, in English and Inuktut, across Inuit Nunangat and the rest of Canada while receiving strategic direction on the organization’s broad economic development activities directly from Inuit women.
Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada is calling on the federal government to urgently provide $20 million towards the building of shelters and second‐stage transitional housing in Inuit Nunagat and in Ottawa for Inuit women and children fleeing violence.
During the week of February 24th, 2019, Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada held its AGM and Board of Directors meetings, attended by members of its Board of Directors, invited delegates and guests. The Board was pleased to welcome several Cabinet Ministers and other special guests.
