Today, Members of the Executive for the Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada Board met with the Hon. Jane Philpott, Minister of Indigenous Services, to discuss collaboration around addressing critical issues impacting Inuit women and children across Canada.
Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada’s Board of Directors and delegates concluded the 2018 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, January 20th. Elections were held for numerous board member positions at this year’s AGM. We extend a warm welcome and congratulations to our new and returning board members.

We value our working relationship with the Ministers and their departments, and our ongoing partnerships are part of our shared commitment to reconciliation and healing. I know I can count on them to help the Prime Minister keep his commitment to the equality of all women in Canada and be sure that includes the equality of Inuit women in Canada.
Today, Pauktuutit is excited to launch Inuusinni Aqqusaaqtara – My Journey. This practical new guide, which can be found in the resources section of our Inuusinni Aqqusaaqtara – My Journey website, includes two booklets for Inuit living with cancer.
Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada commends National Chief Perry Bellegarde and the Assembly of First Nations for successfully bringing the issue of childhood sexual abuse to the attention of Minister Bennett, Minister Hajdu and Minister Philpott.
Pauktuutit’s President, Rebecca Kudloo, joined a teleconference meeting on November 18 with representatives of the national inquiry and other national indigenous organizations.
