Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada will be holding its Annual General Meeting in Ottawa, Ontario, from February 3-4, 2019. ADDENDUM: The AGM will take place February 25 and 26, 2020 at the Delta Hotel,101 Lyon St. N. Ottawa.
The Board of Directors will be reporting on activities conducted during the 2018/19 fiscal year. The meeting is open to the public.
In addition to regular business, elections will be held for the positions of Regional Directors for Nunavik – Hudson, Nunavik – Ungava, North Baffin, South Baffin, Kivalliq, Western Arctic, Iqaluit, urban (two positions, must live outside of Inuit Nunangat) and youth (two positions, one from Inuit Nunangat and one from anywhere else in Canada). The Inuk Woman of the Year will also be chosen by the Board of Directors and announced at the AGM.
Any Inuk woman can nominate or be nominated for a position on the Pauktuutit Board of Directors. Nominators must be from the same region as the candidate. All Directors must reside in the region they represent. For Inuk Woman of the Year, anyone can make a nomination. Nominees can live in Inuit Nunangat or in the south, but they must be Inuk.

The deadline for nominations to be received at the Pauktuutit office is noon (EST) Friday, February 21, 2020. Nominations for the Board of Directors will be reopened at the AGM. The following communities will also be asked to send delegates: Postville, Nunatsiavut; Umiujaq, Nunavik; Arctic Bay, Baffin Region; Coral Harbour, Kivalliq; Gjoa Haven, Kitikmeot; and Ulukhaktok, Western Arctic.
