Media Advisory Ottawa – February 13. 2024. The event is not open to the media. Media availability can be arranged separately, and highlights will be shared on social media throughout the AGM.
Pauktuutit is excited to share that we are hosting our Annual General Meeting in Ottawa on February 14 and 15, 2024. Board members and delegates will meet in person.
2024 marks an important milestone for Pauktuutit. Incorporated in 1984, we will be kicking off a year of celebration of our 40th Anniversary.
Along with regular Board business, we will be sharing advanced copies of our History Project publication, which highlights the achievements and challenges faced by the brave women who came together to elevate the voices of Inuit women and their families.
On day one, we will announce the Young Inuk Woman of the Year and the Inuk Woman of the Year and present them with their awards. This year, both recipients will be attending the AGM virtually.
On day two, we will welcome the Honourable Minister Anandasangaree, Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations as our special guest. We are grateful for the opportunity to meet face-to-face with our members and partners, as we commit to working together and moving our work forward.
We invite members of the media to watch for email follow-ups later this week.
