Pauktuutit Election ResultsFollowing a successful Annual General Meeting held in Ottawa, Ontario from March 5-7, Rebecca Kudloo was acclaimed President for a three-year term.
“Pauktuutit has been very close to my heart for decades. I am honoured to have the confidence of the Board to take on the leadership of this important organization. We will continue to address the priorities of Inuit women such as violence and abuse prevention, health, socio-economic development and equality,” she said from Ottawa.
Annie Buchan of Cambridge Bay was elected to a three-year term as Vice President. New Directors include Sheila Pokiak Lumsden from Iqaluit, who will represent South Qikiqtani, Alyssa Flaherty Spence representing youth, and Charlotte Wolfrey was acclaimed as the representative for Nunatsiavut.
