Notice of 2024 AGM and elections

Founded in 1984, Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada is the national voice of Inuit women in Canada. Based in Ottawa, the organization is governed by a 15‐person board of directors made up of Inuit women across the country.

Pauktuutit will host its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on October 8-10, 2024.

This year, the in‐person meeting will be at the Hilton Garden Inn in Ottawa, Ontario. The Board of Directors will report on activities conducted during the 2023‐2024 fiscal year.

Elections for Pauktuutit’s Board of Directors
In addition to regular business, Board Members will be elected as part of the AGM in the following regions:

• Iqaluit
• Qikiqtani North (Mittimatalik/Pond Inlet, Ikpiarjuk/Arctic Bay, Ausuittuq/Grise Fiord, Qausuittuq/Resolute Bay, Iglulik/Igloolik, Sanirajak/Hall Beach).
• Youth – Inuit Nunangat
• Urban – South East (Urban Centres in Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI, or Newfoundland)
• Urban – Yellowknife

Inuit women in Canada interested in advancing Pauktuutit’s mandate as a board member may submit a written nomination form.

Pauktuutit’s Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the organization’s strategic direction. The board meets virtually and in person, with expenses covered.
